We long to see the children of Emergence develop a strong understanding of the nature and character of God so that they can be confident in his love for them. We want children to know that they can obey and trust God through good times and bad times. Our desire is to partner with and support parents in discipling their children through safe and engaging environments, Christ-centered stories, and resources that are rooted in the Gospel of Jesus that teach children about who God is.
eTown is divided into three main areas: Archi Park for infants and toddlers, eTown Station for 2.5-4 year-olds, and Main Street for 5 year-olds through fourth graders.
If you’re visiting for the first time, we'll help you register on our church-wide communication platform called "The City" and give you a check-in tag for each child. These stickers serve two purposes:
- Parent paging — If we need to contact you during the service, the number on your sticker will appear on the screens in the auditorium.
- Child pick-up — You must present your sticker to both the security guard at the entrance to eTown and the teacher in your child’s classroom before we can release your child.
You may check your children in 30 minutes before the start of service, but you may only drop them off 10 minutes before the service and when their teachers arrive.
Health and Safety
To comply with health standards, we ask that your child be free from fever or any symptoms of a contagious illness for at least 24 hours before entering eTown. Please make our caregivers and teachers aware of any allergies or medical conditions your child might have.
At every campus of Emergence, we have trained, security screened volunteers ready to partner with you in your work discipling your kids. While parents are able to focus in the main gathering, our team provides an exciting, engaging, instructive time for your children in a secure environment at each campus.
Each week, we hand out a parent take home sheet called "The Homefront." This resource provides families with scripture, a bible story, and topics to discuss at home. To support you in your role in discipling your children, our hope is that you're able to teach through the story first! The following weekend, we will teach through the same story and scripture in eTown! You will receive a hard copy at church along with an electronic copy of this resource on The City.
If you have a child with special needs, our hope is that we can partner with you in ministering to your child. Please email so that we can have someone from our special needs ministry discuss with your family how we can best minister to your child.
We believe that baptism is an important step in anyone’s discipleship and that children can take this step as soon as they are old enough to articulate their faith in Jesus.
Our hope at Emergence is that you will make a commitment to raise your child in the ways of the Lord. You also commit to joining a community of believers who are here to help you and keep you accountable as your raise and disciple your child. We offer two family dedication services (spring and fall).
